
Rogersville Firefighters Receive Awards at LCAVFD Banquet
The Rogersville Volunteer Fire Department was very well represented at the 34 Annual Awards Banquet of the Lauderdale County Association of Volunteer Fire Departments held in Florence. Safety Officer and State Honor Guard Tim Williams provided Honor Guard Assistance to the World Trade Center Memorial Steel Display while Corey Birdwell was selected to help bring in the steel for display at the banquet.
In addition, the following members received the following awards:
Chris Ramsey - Lauderdale County Firefighter of the Year
Tina Hendrix - Lauderdale County Ladies Aux. of the Year
Jeff Barlcay - ORilley Auto Parts - Lauderdale County Small Business of the Year.
This years banquet was attended by Chief Frankie Phillips, Paula Phillips, Chris Ramsey, Brittney Ramsey, Morris Lentz (and date), Tyler Hamm (and date), Jeff Hendrix, Tina Hendrix, Brian Ozier (and wife), Tammy Birdwell, Corey Birdwell, Matt Tidwell, Jacob Gautney, Alex McWilliams, Tommy Blackburn and Kaitlyn Hendrix.
Rogersville Firefighters to Attend Awards Banquet February 11
Members of the Rogersville Volunteer Fire Department will attend the 34th Annual Lauderdale County Association of Volunteer Fire Department Banquet to be held Saturday, February 11th at the Crosspoint Church of Christ. A special presentation of the World Trade Center Memorial Steel Display will be a part of the program in honor of those firefighters and emergency personnel who lost their lived on 9-11-2001.
The Rogersville VFD is a charter member of the LCAVFD. Assistant Chief Morris Lentz serves as President of the association.
FISH FRY - FEBRUARY 4TH
It's that time again folks. The Rogersville Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting our monthly FISH FRY this coming Saturday, February 4th at the main fire station in Rogersville. Serving times are 4 PM - 7 PM. We'll have delicious pond raised catfish fillets cooked to a golden brown, Chicken Fingers, Shrimp, homemade hushpuppies, cole-slaw, french fires, onion and tea.
Also, the Rogersville Kiwanis Club will be selling deserts during the fish fry to help raise money for their club. So everyone come on out to the Rogersville Fire Station and support your volunteer firefighters.
